DARKCOMET RAT V3.0 €? HACK ANY COMPUTER

DarkComet is a widely known piece of malware. If a user installs an antivirus, or a darkcomet remover, they can un-infect their computer quickly. Its target machines are typically anything from Windows XP, all the way up to Windows 10.

DARKCOMET RAT V3.0 – HACK ANY COMPUTER

As the violence escalates across Syria, so do the campaigns of targeted malware attacks against Syrian activists, journalists, and members of the opposition, which covertly install surveillance software on their computers. Syrians are growing more aware of the danger these campaigns pose to their security and the security of their friends and loved ones. On Facebook, the Union of Free Students in Syria group has started an album of students holding up signs warning against phishing attacks and malware, with messages that such as, "Assad supporters are sending dangerous files with hacked accounts. Check with your friends before opening an attachment."

He also announced his successes. On May 17, 2012, he told the RAT community at hackforums.net: "Recently I infected a person at my school with darkcomet. It was total luck that I got her infected because I suck at social engineering. Anyway, this girl happens to be a model and a really good looking one at that :D. I was hoping I could use her and her facebook account to further spread my darkcomet rat. I want to mass message all her friends on facebook but I have no idea what to message them to get them to download the rat. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)."

Immediately following the terrorist attacks in France this month, claimed by al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), the top cyber defense official in France reported hackers have hit about 19,000 French websites largely through defacements and denial-of-service attacks. While these attacks were relatively crude, information security firm Blue Coat discovered more sophisticated attacks were taking place using the DarkComet remote access trojan (RAT), a tool commonly used by criminals and other threat actors to maintain access and control infected computers.
